Chiditarod: Weird, Wacky and Charitable
Moshpix: Needless to say, there were more than a few double takes Saturday as the annual Chiditarod weaved its way through the sidewalks, back alleys and pubs of the city. Teams of five maneuvered shopping carts filled with non-perishable goods through the route, stopping at checkpoints and performing tasks such as karaoke, Chaiku and a pole dance competition. Despite the craziness, their ultimate goal was charitable, with funds benefiting the Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation.
