Chicago's Grammy-Nominated Diva

R&B singer Syleena Johnson performs in her hometown at Rednofive

Syleena Johnson, perhaps best known for her soaring vocals on fellow Chicagoan Kanye West's hit "All Falls Down," for which she was nominated for a Grammy in 2004, is a prolific artist in her own right. Johnson just released her fourth album, "Chapter 4: Labor Pains," in January, and she's set to perform at her hometown club Rednofive on Sunday, Feb. 8 (which just happens to be Grammy night).

The Hennessey Lounge Listening Party at the River West club will feature a cocktail reception from 7-8PM, and a live performance by Johnson at 10PM. Johnson, who has also collaborated with R. Kelly, Busta Rhymes, Cam'ron, Common and Twista, will debut new songs off of "Labor Pains," which showcases her soulful voice and incisive lyrics about life and love.

The event's $5 Hennessey-sponsored cocktails include the "Chicagoan" (Hennessey and Coke), the "Manhattan" (Hennessey, bitters and sweet vermouth) and the "Rednofive" (Hennessey and cranberry juice). The cover for the Hennessey Lounge Listening Party ranges from $10-$20.
