Chicago's Got the Bluegrass

Third annual Bluegrass Festival kicks off this weekend

That distinct twang you'll be hearing this weekend won't be by accident.

The third annual Chicago Bluegrass & Blues Festival has expanded this year, with three days of entertainment scheduled for Dec. 3-5.

The festival serves up 35 bands at three venues over three days, headlines by Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals at the Congress Theater on Saturday.

Friday's concerts go down at Double Door and Sunday's bill takes place at Lincoln Hall.

Other popular local and international musicians taking the stage include David "Honeyboy" Edwards, The Skatalites and Giving Tree Band. (View Linuep)
