Chicago Film Festival Prepares to Kick Off

170 films to be screened from October 11-25

Choose from 170 over the next couple weeks during the 48th Chicago International Film Festival.

The festival runs October 11-25, with all films -- 120 full feature length films and 50 shorts -- being screened at the AMC River East 21.

The opening night film is the world premiere of "Stand Up Guys," and includes red carpet appearances from actors Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, Alan Arkin, Vanessa Ferlito and Addison Timlin, along with director Fischer Stevens and Tom Rosenberg. Tickets to the screening and cocktail reception are sold out.

Special presentations include a tribute to Joan Allen on October 14 and a Black Perspectives Tribute honoring Viola Davis on October 22.

Festival passes are $14 for individual movies, $125 for 10 admissions and $240 for 20.
