GHOST IN THE MACHINE: Former downtown Alderman Burt Natarus made a name for myself on the city council by proposing unusual ordinances, like requiring horses on the Magnificent Mile to wear diapers. Natarus was in office for more than 30 years and worked with mayors Richard J. Daley, Harold Washington, and Richard M. Daley, and he'll give a special lecture titled "Inside The Political Machine" at the Lecture Center on University Of Illinois' Chicago campus. 806 S. Halsted St.; University Village. 11 a.m. Free.
