Watch Horribly Awesome Movies at B-Fest

B-MOVIES 101: The 24-hour movie marathon B-Fest hits Northwestern's Norris University Center with a lineup that looks like a crash course in B-movie history. Highlights include Plan 9 From Outer Space, The Room, Troll 2, and The Adventures Of Buckaroo Banzai Across The 8th Dimension. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring a pillow, flashlight, a toothbrush, and toothpaste. 2115 N. Campus Drive; Evanston. 6 p.m. $35 or $20 for student.

COVER BAND: French lounge-rock group Nouvelle Vague stop by Lincoln Hall in support of its latest album, 3, which includes more covers of groups like Depeche Mode, Violent Femmes, The Psychedelic Furs, and the Sex Pistols. POSTER BOY: Local screen-print artist and all-around nice guy Jay Ryan unveils his latest project, I've Been To Europe: New Factual Paintings, at Rotofugi Gallery. DJ Carrie Weston will also be on hand. 1955 W. Chicago Ave.; Ukrainian Village. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
