Chicago Playmate follows mother's footsteps onto Playboy's pages

Chicago's Crystal McCahill is Playboy's Playmate of the Month for May 2009.
Some little girls want to grow up to be ballerinas. Others may want to be a nurse. But 25-year-old Crystal McCahill, a Chicago bartender, always wanted to be in Playboy.
"I remember telling my brothers and sisters, 'I'm going to do that one day. I'm going to do the exact pose,'" McCahill says.
The exact pose she's referring to was by her mother, Gale, who was Playboy's Miss August 1968. And now, more than 40 years later, the daughter has officially followed in mother's footsteps when Crystal was named Playboy's Playmate of the Month for May 2009.
In the issue that hit stands last Friday, Crystal pays homage to her mother's 1968 pictorial by also posing poolside with an inflatable swan -- just like her mother did.
If you'd like to meet this hometown girl, she's hosting the official Playboy Issue Release Party on Friday at Crescendo nightclub (222 W Ontario St). She'll sign copies of the May 2009 issue and pose for pictures with guests.
Perhaps mom will show up as well.
