Adler Admission Fees Increase Thursday

Adler Planetarium's admission fees will increase starting Thursday.

Chicago Park District commissioners approved a $2 price hike on Wednesday, applicable to everyone except for city residents ages 11 and under.

The increased entry fees are needed to keep up with rising costs, according to Adler's senior vice president Charles Katzenmeyer.

Starting Thursday, admission will be $10 for Chicago adults and $8 for seniors. Non-residents of Chicago will see there admission costs rise to $12 for adults, $8 for kids and $10 for seniors.

Kids ages 11 and under from Chicago may still get in at a cost of $5 thanks to the intervention of Ald. Edward Burke.
