Usually you hit the gym to work off all that alcohol, so on the surface, a workout class that pays homage to vodka may seem slightly off-kilter.

But that's exactly what's happening at David Barton Gym, which is offering a class this week for its member and non-members inspired by Svedka Vodka. Alcohol and working out? What a combo!

Barton Bot Camp classes offer a futuristic, heart-pounding workout to the soundtrack of Svedka Bot beats -- a robot-like mix of '70s tunes.

And before you get too excited, no, you don’t booze while you bulk up. Trainers will work you to your core with a combination of fast-paced cardio and weight training, meant to leave you dripping in sweat and probably wishing you were lounging somewhere with a drink in hand instead of exercising.

The classes are offered every Thursday this month from 6-6:30 p.m. RSVP to Eric.tepper@dbgym.com.

Just make sure you don’t incorporate those “bot” dance moves outside of class. None of us want to see that.
