Get Modern Mexican in Lakeview

Chilam Balam opens, pork and beer at Landmark and a b-day bash at Zentra

HOLY MOLE: Helmed by a 23-year-old hot shot chef (formerly of Frontera Grill and Adobo Grill), Chilam Balam opens today in Lakeview, bringing a rustic, farm-to-table approach and a laid-back, rock 'n' roll look. Expect to find flavorful dishes like grilled pork ribs basted with Oaxacan pasilla glaze on the small plates-focused, seasonal menu. And be sure to bring your own hooch -- Chilam Balam is BYOB. 3023 N. Broadway Ave., at Barry; Lakeview; 773-296-6901

WHOLE HOG: A good, old-fashioned keg party and pig roast is going down tonight at Landmark in Lincoln Park, but the brew is Three Floyds and the pork sliders will be cooked by award-winning chef Giuseppe Tentori, so perhaps practice your keg stands somewhere else. DJ J. Rose will provide the backbeat. 9 p.m., $30 1633 N. Halsted St., at North; Lincoln Park; 312-640-0640

10 YEARS AND COUNTING: Celebrate a decade of decadence at Zentra's anniversary blowout tonight, replete with house DJs Lil Louis and Derrick Carter headlining. A Moet champagne, cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception will take place from 9 p.m. until 12 a.m. The party goes from 9 p.m.-4 a.m., no cover before 11 p.m. with RSVP, $5-$10 after 923 W. Weed St., at Fremont; Lincoln Park; 312-787-0400
