Savvy bargain shoppers can find some pretty good hotel deals online, but you'd be hard-pressed to beat the deal offered up by Public Hotel.
The new Gold Coast hotel, launched by entrepreneur Ian Schrager, is offering a $1 room deal.
Over a 90-day period on a date to be announced soon, the hotel is offering three rooms a night at the special rate -- a total of 270 discounted rooms.
To qualify, you must sign up at www.publichotels.com/chicago/dollar to receive an email informing you when the sale goes live. Then you have to be one of the first to book the room on a first-come, first-served basis.
Which means it's time to start exercising those fast fingers.
