Calling all budding singers.

Starting December 1, The Shrine nightclub will begin showcasing some of the area's best up-and-coming talent in a monthly series called All Natural: An Artist's Workshop.

Local soul, jazz, funk and R&B singers will have the opportunity to perform at the event, backed by resident bands Verzatile and Innosphere.

At the end of each quarter, one artist will be chosen to open for a national act appearing at the club.

A celebrity guest host will be on hand for each showcase, including singers Dwele, Goapele and Algebra.

It all goes down in the Coup d'etat section of the club, beginning at 8 p.m. Admission is $10.

Time to warm up those pipes.
