It's probably the only convention where attendees are encouraged to BYOP.

The Great Midwest Pole Dance Competition and Convention is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Tinley Park Convention Center.

Professionals from across the US and Europe are expected to attend the festivities.

The competition portion will be held Saturday, and includes a Masters division(over 40), a Rookie division (amateur), and an Elite division (professional). Workshops and seminars will be held on Sunday, with topics ranging from choreography techniques and how to market a pole dancing studio and business.

Although we're guessing most interested parties will be down with Saturday's proceedings, the $45-$55 tickets are good for the entire weekend.

Sounds like it's time to get limber.
