BOOZY BEE: If you're still obsessing over that near-miss in your elementary school spelling bee, exact some revenge tonight at The Whistler (2421 N. Milwaukee Ave.). Registration for the 40-person competition begins at 7 p.m. and commonly misspelled words will be pulled from the categories pop culture, literature, and science & general nerdiness.

PUBLIC PARTY: The Stimulus Social Club, the monthly party that gives back to charity, hits Public House tonight. The $10 admission price gets you a free drink and appetizers and the opportunity to mingle with other young professionals. 5:30-9:30 p.m., 400 N. State St

BRAZILIAN BEATS: Hit Carnivale tonight for live music and entertainment in the form of the Grammy-nominated Angel Melendez Quartet while enjoying the restaurant's Brazilian cuisine and cocktails. 7:30 p.m., 702 West Fulton Market, NO COVER
