Non-profit seeks to promote share-cars in Chicago

Get off of its trains and into a car. That's the CTA's unlikely message to riders.
The agency has partnered with the non-profit group I-GO, a car-sharing service in the Chicago metro area. The CTA announced that people who request a card will become eligible for I-GO membership. It may seem counterintuitive for a public transportation agency to push people into cars, but the idea is that the CTA can't take you everywhere and I-GO uses fuel efficient vehicles.
I-GO is a non-profit competitor to companies like ZipCar.
