Volkswagen's "The Force" Super Bowl ad starring a pint-sized Darth Vader went viral before reaching TV screens Sunday night. The 60-second spot is being lauded for its adorable star who tests his "powers" on objects around the house and succeeds only in "beeping" the family car, a new VW (psst: his dad helped).

If the commercial make you curious about the car, here's your chance to work The Force in person.

The 2012 Passat, a new 4-door sedan that's fresh from Germany, makes a cameo at this week's Chicago Auto Show.

The car is one of about 1,000 vehicles on display during the 10-day, 103rd annual car show and is one of three new VW cars to make Auto Show cameos. The others are the 2012 Eos, a four-person convertible, and the 2012 Jetta GLI, a sporty version of its namesake.

Viewers buzzing about the new Beetle teased as a silhouette during VW's second Super Bowl ad featuring a black beetle with racing stripes will have to wait. It's set to debut in April and won't be seen anywhere before then.
