VELVET REVOLVING DOOR: Singer Scott Weiland just can't seem to sit still -- the Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman is on a solo tour that brings him to the House of Blues for Q101's "Twisted 15" show tonight. Jock rock poseurs Eagles of Death Metal and Cold War Kids open. 5:45PM (huh?), $28.50-$30.

SOUNDS SKETCHY: Got a thing for art (or cute artists?) Check out the "Atomic Sketch Event" at Wicker Park's Evil Olive tonight. Eight artists will be creating paintings, drawings, mixed-media works and more on the spot. When they're done making their magic, you can buy the artwork on site. If you're looking to unleash your inner artist, bring your own materials, and join in the fun. 6-10PM, no cover.

MR. CAREY: Mariah's man, Nick Cannon, spins tonight at the Underground for "The Grinch That Gave Christmas Back," a benefit party for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. As if that's not enough, there's also appetizers and Grey Goose cocktails. 9PM, $20 suggested donation.
