Make memories in Grant Park again this summer at the Outdoor Film Festival.
Yes, it's only April, and yes, we're still struggling to keep the thermometer above freezing on some days, but it's not too early to start dreaming of summer in the city. Outdoor dining, picnics in the park and summer festivals will all be here before you know it.
A sure sign of that is the release of the Outdoor Film Festival lineup from the City of Chicago. The big screen in Butler Field in Grant Park will light up with the following classic films on seven consecutive Tuesdays starting July 14 and ending Aug. 25. So start marking your calendar accordingly for the following flicks:
- Sunset Boulevard (July 14)
- Duck Soup (July 21)
- Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (July 28)
- Born Yesterday (Aug. 4)
- Psycho (Aug. 11)
- Young Mr. Lincoln (Aug. 18)
- Tootsie (Aug. 25)
The films start at sunset, and admission is free. Bring your own seats/blankets/food, and remember that pets and alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the part. Or pets consuming alcoholic beverages.
