Got a car in your garage that's always a work in progress? Salivate over custom hot rods you see on the street? Bring your heavy metal dreams to the 47th annual CARQUEST World of Wheels show, which will be held Friday, Jan. 23 through Sunday, Jan. 25 at the McCormick Place - Lakeside convention center.

Car enthusiasts will get to peruse more than 400 customized cars and 100 custom-built motorcycles spread out over 345,000 square feet during the course of the three-day exhibition. Highlights include the "Rod 'N Custom 62" display featuring a well-edited collection of tradtional hot rods, the "Cyclerama" exhibit consisting of customized bikes and motorcycle-specific vendors and several well-known vehicles from our collective pop culture imagination, such as the original Batmobile, the K.I.T.T. car from "Knight Rider," the Monkee Moblie from "The Monkees" and Drag-U-La from "The Munsters."

The Chicago Brush Masters Pinstripers Art Auction will feature more than 300 professionally decorated pieces created by artists from across the country, some of whom will be on hand to create items on site. A variety of vendors will also be present, offering car customization, accessories and technological products to fuel your own personal obsession.

The World of Wheels show will be open on Friday, Jan. 23 from 3-10:30PM, on Saturday, Jan. 24 from 10AM-10:30PM and on Sunday, Jan. 25 from 10AM-7PM. Tickets are $16 for adults and $5 for kids under 12.
