There's nothing like a pack of Elvi.
The festival, sponsored by a non-profit organization and officially sanctioned by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., brings about 9,000 festival goers from around the region to this Detroit-area town for what's become on of the largest Elvis festivals in North America.
This year's event, kicking off at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 10, will feature live music and performances by award-winning Elvis Tribute artists, and others performing the work of notable singers such as Tom Jones, Roy Orbison, Ricky Nelson and Sir Elton John.
It's a family-friendly environment, even if you are nothing but a hound dog. The kids will have their own play area, as well as face painting, magic tricks, stilt walkers, kid karaoke and more.
There's "great tasting food," according to the event Web site, and adults are welcome to enjoy the beer tent.
Tickets are available at the gate (cash only) or can be purchased in advance online.
Thank you. Thank you very much.
