In their busy schedules, Chicagoans can often forget things here and there. You might misplace your wallet, keys, cell phone, etc. But this weekend, Windy City commuters will be encouraged to forget their pants.

Improv Everywhere, a comedy group based in New York City, is holding their 8th annual No Pants Subway Rides this weekend, and cities around the world are planning on getting involved. Saturday morning (January 10), pranksters will gather at the Granville Red Line stop (1119 W Granville Ave). At the strike of 12 noon, these brave (or crazy) citizens will remove their pants, revealing their choice of underwear, and ride the train as they would any other day, completely straight-faced

"You can wear socks, shoes, boots, coats, gloves, shirts, and hats—just no pants. (No thongs or G-strings ‘cause we want to surprise and not offend.) You pretend like you don't know any of the other pants-less riders. You should act like it's perfectly normal to have been waiting for the subway without your pants! Dress as you wish but try to keep in mind that the goal is to act as if you forgot your pants."

Also, participants are asked not to bring cameras. After all, you wouldn't normally take pictures on the train any other day, would you? (Official event photographers will be on site.)

No Pants public transportation rides are scheduled in cities across the U.S., including Boston, Denver, and Los Angeles, as well as international cities like Amsterdam, Sydney, Vienna, and Lisbon.
