If you're the kind of person who likes being around beautiful women, and you have an extra $300 million, then you might be just the buyer that Hugh Hefner is looking for.

Word was that Playboy Enterprises, founded by Hefner in 1953, was being "quietly shopped around," The New York Post reported Friday, but the publisher denies the report.

Asked Friday about the report, a Playboy spokeswoman says, "No, it is not being shopped," Crain's Chicago Business reported.
Most people close to the company have said that Hefner, now 83, will never let go of Playboy.

"He'll take it with him to the grave," said an unnamed source.
