Seven-year-old Mekhi Boyle holds his new blue backpack over his head Tuesday at McLevy Green in Bridgeport. The blue backpack will match his Columbus Elementary School uniform. Hundreds of Bridgeport residents lined up for the free backpacks filled with school supplies provided by RYASAP and the city.
