Saran Dunmore

One of Saran Dunmore's mottos in life is: "if you're not having fun, then why do it?" 

Saran is a television personality, personal trainer, ex-professional athlete, former collegiate track and field conference champion and an entrepreneur. 

She began her television career in college at Middle Tennessee State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications.   Several years later, her passion for exercise and television landed her as a fitness expert on NBC in Chicago.  Saran has been giving fitness advice and tips to more than 6 million people every week for the past four years.

Saran is also a trainer on the new reality TV show; "I Used To Be Fat".  It's a teen weight loss show on MTV that follows teens for four months on their quest to transform their lives and lose weight before college.  The show airs on MTV starting Dec. 29, 2010.

Saran is certified by ACE.  She trains the general population and professional athletes and teaches bootcamp classes. 

Saran also enjoys hosting events.  She has co-hosted the Reggae and International World Music Awards in New York City, the Chicago Music Awards and other events around Chicago. 

Saran finds time to relax by being active.  "I know, it sounds like an oxymoron, but a good workout or run is so relaxing to me!"

Sergio Rojas

With over 15 years experience as a fitness-professional, Sergio Rojas has become one of the most in-demand fitness trainers in Chicago and throughout the U.S., working with professional athletes, celebrities and top executives in addition to developing fitness and wellness programs for youth organizations and major corporations.

He is a certified Fellow of Applied Functional Science from the Gray Institute, the most advanced program and studies of human movement, as well as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and a Certified Nutrition Specialist.

Sergio is the fitness expert for NBC5 news in Chicago, as well as a regular contributor for Men’s Fitness Magazine. His passion and commitment to community and youth fitness also has him in key roles with the Mayor’s Fitness Council, Energizabulls (Chicago Bulls charitable foundation), with HopSports, a digital physical education program, Vive En Forma, and with Building A Healthier Chicago, among other organizations.

In addition to being the former Strength & Conditioning Coach for the WNBA’s Chicago Sky, Sergio is also the former Executive Director of the President’s Council on Fitness & Sports. 

After being appointed by President Obama, Sergio decided to return to Chicago to pursue his life’s passion of opening his own fitness and wellness company, reDEFINED Wellness, which launched in the summer of 2010. Redefined Wellness has its own facility, manages several corporate fitness facilities and provides corporate wellness programs for a variety of large and smaller sized companies.

Andrea Metcalf

Andrea Metcalf says her goal is to inspire, educate and motivate people to be fit, feel better and move.


She has been teaching fitness, training clients and coaching on the subjects of nutrition and health for more than 27 years.

"I believe that staying healthy can make you happier...and I am dedicated to motivating others to achieve their personal best life."

Andrea’s 'inspiring and approachable personality has helped build her reputation as a nationally known fitness expert among the viewers who watch her on the NBC Today Show and weekly NBC and BETTER TV segments, to the members who jam pack her classes.

Andrea holds a BS in Exercise Science and has grown her career learning each new fitness craze as it came along from aerobic dance to Pilates as well as created many programs of her own including Paws-ilates, Sit-iltes and Live-ilates.  

She is ACE and NASM certified.

Andrea has written numerous articles on health and fitness. She is a national fitness presenter, motivational speaker and has a series of fitness DVD’s called PainFree, Pt-2-Go and three new geared towards aging Americans staying active called, Keeping Fit Cardio, Pilates, and Strength

Her book, “Naked Fitness” hits shelves winter of 2010 promising to be a new way to align, walk and eat your way to feel great in your own skin.

Also keeping her busy are appearances on Shop NBC, speaking engagements in the corporate environment, races, walks and health events to keep people moving.  

Still most important in her life is her family. With 2 college students and one working through high school, she understands the demands of multi-tasking mamas.
