A naked man was Tasered outside the North Coast Music Festival Saturday night after he allegedly hopped on top of a Mercedes Benz, breaking its windshield, and became combative with police, officials said.
The 22-year-old man was found naked and sitting in a puddle when officers arrived at the scene in the 1400 block of West Randolph Street.
The owner of the 2008 Mercedes Benz said the man jumped on top of his car and broke his windshield.
When officers attempted to take the man into custody, he became uncooperative and combative, according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.
Police then Tasered the man in order to make the arrest, according to authorities.
The man was transported to Mount Sinai for treatment and no other injuries were reported.
Sam Shauer, 22, of Auburndale, Mass. was charged Sunday with misdemeanor reckless conduct, reckless damage to property , aggravated assault, public indecency, and four counts of resisting an officer , police said.
Police said it appeared Schauer was under the influence of narcotics.
