Jesus Vandals Strike Again

Second time head has been removed

Dear Lord! The sacrilege!

The first time that vandals victimized the Jesus statue outside his suburban Chicago store, owner Bill O'Brien picked up the pieces and put it back together.

Less than a year later, the statue has been struck again. But this time, they took its head.

O'Brien's Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Tinley Park sells religious items. The 40-inch concrete statue of Jesus stands out front. O'Brien says he doesn't think he'll be able to repair it this time.

O'Brien calls the situation "mighty annoying." He says he doesn't think the vandalism is anti-religion.

"It's more along the lines of evil," he says

Tinley Park police are investigating the incidents.
