Red Panda Cubs at the Lincoln Park Zoo Predict World Series Winner

Lincoln Park Zoo’s red panda bears are adorable, and now Cubs fans have yet another reason to love them.

That's because the cubs picked the Cubs to win the World Series.

Waveland and Sheffield were born on June 24 and named after Wrigley Field's cross streets.

Just ahead of Game 1 on Tuesday, they were given two boxes, each with a hand-painted logo of both teams in the World Series, the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians.

Guided by their dad Phoenix, both cubs chose Chicago to win it all, according to the zoo, "cheering on (and chewing on)" their choice for the best of seven series.

Even though their pick wasn't quite scientific, one 14-year-old did use statistics to predict the outcome of the World Series several months ago.

Cubs fans will be delighted to know that despite dropping Game 1, that whiz kid predicted the Cubbies will win their first World Series in 108 years.
