Alex DeBrincat, Kendall Coyne Among Stars Committed to Chicago Pro Hockey League

The league will begin play on July 11

If you’re hungry for hockey this summer, a new league in Chicago will feature some of the Blackhawks’ biggest stars on a slightly different stage.

The Chicago Pro Hockey League will begin play on July 11 at the MB Bank Ice Arena, the practice home of the Blackhawks. The league will feature not only Blackhawks players, but will also feature players from other NHL and USHL teams.

Blackhawks stars Alex DeBrincat, Brandon Saad, and Nick Schmaltz are all committed to play in the league, which will feature four teams and will be contested over the course of seven weeks.

Schmaltz will be joined on Team Black by Team USA superstar Kendall Coyne, who will hit the ice along with NHL players like Christian Dvorak and Garret Sparks.

Team Centric Wealth Management will feature Blackhawks defenseman Jordan Oesterle and forward Vinnie Hinostroza, and they will be joined by Chicago Steel defenseman Graham Lillibridge and 2017 Blackhawks first round draft pick Henri Jokiharju.

Alex DeBrincat and former Blackhawks center Brandon Pirri will represent Jack Phelan Auto Group.

Finally, former Blackhawks forwards Ryan Hartman and Tommy Wingels will suit up for Warrior Hockey, along with current Blackhawks winger Brandon Saad and NHL defenseman John Moore.
