Notre Dame Will Take on Wisconsin at Soldier Field

Notre Dame and Wisconsin haven’t played each other in football for over 50 years, but that will all change in the coming years, and they’ll take their games to two of the most historic sites in the game.

On Monday it was announced that the two teams will play a home-and-home series beginning in 2020, with Wisconsin hosting the first game at Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers.

The Fighting Irish will take their hosting turn in 2021, when the two teams will battle at Chicago’s Soldier Field, home of the Bears.

The two teams have not played one another in football since 1964.

Notre Dame is currently hoping to have a bounceback season after they went 4-8 in the 2016 campaign. They lost three of their final four games, including games against Navy and Temple.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin is coming off an 11-3 season, which included a win over Western Michigan in the Cotton Bowl. The Badgers also scored victories over a pair of top-ten schools, with a neutral site win over LSU and a home win over Nebraska at Camp Randall.
