Swoosh Along the Lakefront

Nike has its mark -- the familiar swoosh -- along Chicago's lakefront.

The company donated $100,000 to the Chicago Park District, with a portion of the money going to new mile marker signs along the lakefront running path, the Chicago Tribune reported.

There are now 36 mile and half-mile markers along the 18 mile path.

The athletic apparel giant also had the path resurfaced and installed new athletic fields and basketball courts along the lakefront.
