Los Angeles' Transit System Trolls Cubs Fans on Social Media

In case trailing in the NLCS by three games wasn’t bad enough, even Los Angeles’ transit authority is taking shots at the Chicago Cubs.

During Game 3 of the series on Tuesday night, Metro Los Angeles took to their Twitter account to blast Cubs fans for leaving Wrigley Field early:

“Happy to see our friends and colleagues at the CTA providing great service to all the Cubs fans leaving the game early,” the tweet read.

Naturally, this set off all sorts of mayhem in the comments, as Cubs fans pointed out the reputation of Dodgers fans for getting to games late and leaving them early, and a barrage of insults were fired between the rival fanbases.

In case fans are curious, both train systems in Los Angeles and Chicago use the “red line” to get fans to the ballpark, but the Dodgers’ nearest station is a half mile away from Dodger Stadium, while the Addison station is across the street from Wrigley Field.
