Leonard Floyd Leaves Practice Early Thursday

Chicago Bears training camp is kicking off on Thursday, and there's already bad news on the horizon as Leonard Floyd left practice early

The Chicago Bears are going through their first workout in Bourbonnais on Thursday morning, but their first round pick is already off the field, as linebacker Leonard Floyd left practice early.

Floyd, the Bears’ first round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, is looking to secure a starting job in the team’s linebacker corps this summer. He was carted off the field after stretches, and according to head coach John Fox the linebacker was suffering from an illness and should be healthy soon.

Offensive lineman Kyle Long also left the workout early due to a left calf issue, according to Fox. His status for Friday's practice, the Bears' second of the camp, remains uncertain.

Veteran tight end Khari Lee left practice early and is suffering from a shoulder sprain, according to the Bears.

Stay tuned to NBC Chicago for updates on the status of players after practice.
