Apparently former Chicago Cubs pitcher Hector Rondon has a thing for playing with champion teams.
In a deal first reported by The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal, Rondon has agreed to a contract with the defending World Series champion Houston Astros. The deal is for two years and will pay Rondon $8.5 million, according to the report.

Rondon likely won't close with the Astros either, as the team already has Ken Giles firmly cemented into that role. The defending champions have plenty of talented arms, with former Cubs pitcher Joe Smith and Chris Devenski also pitching in their bullpen.
The Cubs have added a pair of relievers since Rondon was let go, with Brandon Morrow and Steve Cishek both signing new deals with the team.
