Rose: “I Feel Like Jackie Moon”

Bulls come up one point short of guaranteeing fans a free McDonald's Big Mac

Despite the win, MVP Derrick Rose said missing one of his free-throws in the final seconds of Tuesday night's game made him feel like comedian Will Ferrell's character in the film "Semi-Pro."

"I feel like Jackie Moon... ,' said Rose in the post-game locker room. "That's all I was thinking about, man."

"I saved McDonald's a lot of money, so they should be happy," he said.

For those who don't know: McDonald's gives each fan a Bic Mac if the Bulls score at least 100 points in a home game win. The Bulls ultimately came up one point short Tuesday night.

In the 2008 film, Ferrell's character -- Moon -- is the owner and coach of the Flint Michigan Tropics. In one game, the team promised fans corn dogs if they scored at least 125 points. The problem was the financially-strapped team didn't have the money for the corn dogs.

Moon begged his teammates to run out the clock, but the team ultimately won, causing Moon to do a "victory lap" out the door and away from the arena.

Interestingly, the last time the Bulls and Hornets met, just about three weeks earlier, Ferrell did the honors of introducing the players, taking some comedic liberties along the way.
