Cubs fans may have already considered themselves the best in the world, but now it's official, according to a new report. 

Lifestyle site FanSided released their inaugural list of the 250 fanbases that are the best and most passionate across sports, entertainment, tech and more. 

To few Chicagoans' surprise, the Cubs took home top honors, coming in at number one ahead of Star Wars, Beyonce and the Dallas Cowboys. 

"The true sign of a die-hard fanbase is its willingness to stick with the team through good times and bad," the site reads. "And surely no fanbase has proven itself more adept at the latter than that of the Chicago Cubs."

Fansided, which calls itself "the network for fans," also released a heartfelt essay on Cubs fans following their beloved team's first World Series victory in 108 years.
