Chicago White Sox outfielder Adam Engel tried to rob Baltimore Orioles slugger Adam Jones of a home run Thursday, but things didn't exactly go to plan.
Engel, who was starting in center field for the White Sox, broke back on a ball off the bat of Jones in the second inning, and as he leapt at the wall, something unexpected happened:
Not only did Engel not catch the ball, but he ended up losing his glove over the center field fence as well.
The homer gave the Orioles a commanding 6-0 lead as the two teams finish up their series at Guaranteed Rate Field.
