Not able to make it to Chicago to watch your favorite runners cross the finish line in person?
We've got you covered.

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon draws thousands of runners from around the world - but the heroes aren't just the ones who finish first.

They're parents, siblings, coworkers, employees and more. They run for good causes, for personal records, for their health.

We asked our Facebook followers who their marathon heroes were and here's what they said.

Terry Mankus: All the volunteers and fans along the route. Without their efforts the marathon would not be as successful.

Marianne Starck: My husband, Max Bond! His determination and drive to not only run it but improve the following year was nothing short of amazing. I was so proud to cheer him on.

Lisa Kidder Habeeb: My sons girlfriend. She has a cadaver knee and has trained like a boss! Go Kaitlyn!!! Proud of you!

Denise Barajas: My sissy has devoted so much time, effort, & passion into her training! You’re a beast Jocelyn Barajas! Can’t wait to cheer you on.

Betsy Burkhard Floski: My son, F Christian Floski, running in this, his second Chicago Marathon, is my Marathon Hero! He is a psychotherapist who daily deals with the pain/anxiety/fear of clients living with HIV/AIDS. He is running with a group that is working to raise funds/awareness for people living with the virus. I am inspired by his commitment to supporting marginalized groups and to helping bring a positive message to people in difficult circumstances. His compassion for his clients and his love for the City of Chicago are expressed in the nine months of training and fundraising he will bring to this phenomenal community event! #gettingtozero!

Roris Avilla: My niece Cyndi E. Moyano! Her determination to finish and not give up. I would probably give up on the first 5 minutes.

Debbie Lynn Hester Mateos: Israel Antonio..has been doing this and is blind. He should be a inspiration to all of us.

Margie Schmeski - Daly: John Kristoff. He is running to raise money to help end Parkinson’s Disease in honor of his Dad! Go John Go! & Team Fox!

Gricel Ramirez: Carla Robles because she’s a beast!!

Meg J: Ellen Licker

Ketsadavanh Mone Ramangkoun: Hazel Aquino
