Who Wants To Own Notre Dame's Scoreboard?

Just in case you needed a gigantic football scoreboard

There are plenty of notable things about Notre Dame's current football stadium. Off the top of our head: Touchdown Jesus, the marching band, the way the student section always wears the same color shirts, the lack of paint -- other than those classic diagonal lines -- in the end zones. And so on.

Perhaps the last thing any Notre Dame fan would think of would be the team's old-school scoreboard. Maybe we're wrong, but the scoreboard lacks the classic nostalgia and kitsch of the rest of the stadium but also isn't new enough to be objectively cool. It gets the job done. And that's about it.

No more: Notre Dame is improving their scoreboard, which in itself wouldn't be all that newsworthy, but when you consider what they're doing with their old one, and the fact that there has to be someone, somewhere, who will want to buy it, it is: Notre Dame is auctioning off their old scoreboard. Want it? It can be yours. Just place your bid.

Of course, we have no idea what one would do with a gigantic football stadium scoreboard, but maybe you have a huge backyard you were thinking of converting into a football field. Maybe you have that much money and time on your hands. If so, your day has officially arrived.
