It has been nearly 62 years since the United States won an Olympic gold in the four-man bobsled, but hopes are high for a big win in Vancouver.

The U.S. four-man bobsled team is currently ranked number one in the world after bringing home the Gold from the 2009 World Championships in Lake Placid, N.Y. At their helm is driver Steve Holcomb, who Time magazine rode along with on his first ride of the season for their Olympic series "How They Train."

The resulting nausea-inducing video takes the viewer along with the four-man crew of the "Night Train," a sled that weighs close to 1400 lbs with the entire team piled in.

As you experience the POV of a human being riding a 1400 pound rocket through a canal of ice, remember that the only folks being paid to do this are the reporters riding along.

"We're all volunteers," Holcomb told Time. "We don't get paid to do what we're doing so we rely on sponsors. I'm now 40,000 Gs in debt in the sport, but I think, I don't know, it'll pay off some day."
