Chris Sale only gave up three runs but the Sox hitters couldn't muster anything in support.

The White Sox couldn't take advantage of their opportunities Wednesday night, losing 3-0 to the Kansas City Royals.

The Sox' lead in the AL Central shrunk to 2 games with the loss after the Detroit Tigers beat the Oakland A's 6-2.

The South Siders lost the game despite having their ace, Chris Sale, on the bump.

The Sox managed nine hits against the Royals, but failed to capitalize.

Chicago and Detroit don't face each other for the rest of the season.
