Kyle Schwarber Rejoins Cubs Lineup for Game 3 vs. Cardinals

Wild Card Game hero Kyle Schwarber is back in the lineup after being left out of the Game 2 starting nine, batting sixth and patrolling left field for the Cubs

The Chicago Cubs are hosting a playoff game at Wrigley Field for the first time in seven years on Monday evening, and Joe Maddon has put together a power-hitting lineup that will look to take advantage of the Friendly Confines.

Wild Card Game hero Kyle Schwarber is back in the lineup after being left out of the Game 2 starting nine, batting sixth and patrolling left field for the Cubs. The rest of the lineup has essentially stayed the same, with one exception: Jake Arrieta will bat ninth (Kyle Hendricks batted eighth in Game 2 of the series), and Miguel Montero will slot into the eighth spot.

Here is the full order for the Cubs:

1. Dexter Fowler – CF

2.  Jorge Soler – RF

3.  Kris Bryant – 3B

4.  Anthony Rizzo – 1B

5. Starlin Castro – 2B

6. Kyle Schwarber – LF

7. Addison Russell – SS

8. Miguel Montero – C

9. Jake Arrieta – P

The Cubs will look to use this lineup against Cardinals starter Michael Wacha, who has struggled against the North Siders this season. In his last three starts against the Cubs, Wacha has surrendered 15 earned runs in 15 innings, scattering 19 hits and coughing up four home runs.
