Merchandise pre-sale for the 2012 Ryder Cup kicks off Friday at the Medinah Country Club in Chicago's west suburbs.
The pre-sale is open exclusively to club members from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. It then opens to the general public on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. No tickets are required.
Sports legends hold autograph sessions during the general public pre-sale on Saturday and Sunday. Famous faces include Dan Hampton of the Chicago Bears, Stan Mikita of the Chicago Blackhawks and Billy Casper, an all-time leader in U.S. Ryder Cup Points.
Parking is available at 333 E. Lake St., west of the intersection of Lake Street and Medinah Road. Shuttle buses will be available to transport visitors to Medinah Country Club.
This year is the first time in 12 years that the event will be held in Illinois. The Ryder Cup is a golf tournament held every two years and played between the US and Europe.
