Patrick Kane can now add United States Olympian to his growing list of accomplishments.

The 21-year-old winger for the Chicago Blackhawks was named to the USA Hockey team that will compete in the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver

Kane, who grew up in Buffalo, will play in his first Olympics. Fellow Blackhawk Dustin Byfuglien, who had gone to orientation camp with Kane this summer, did not make the final 23-man United States roster.

Teammates Jonathan Toews, Brent Seabrook and Duncan Smith will play for Canada and Tomas Kopecky and Marian Hossa will skate for Team Slovakia. 

Only three players named to the 2010 USA hockey team have played in the Olympics. They include Chris Drury of the New York Rangers, Brian Rafalski from the Detroit Red Wings and Jamie Langenbrunner with the New Jersey Devils.
