Obama Predicts Bulls Championship

The aside came during the Mavericks' White House ceremony

The President honored the Dallas Mavericks Monday, but the long-time Bulls fan's thoughts were still with his home team.

During the Mavericks' ceremony, President Barack Obama predicted the Chicago Bulls would be next up for an NBA finals win, according to reports from the event.

Seven months after the Mavericks beat the Miami Heat in six games, the team was honored at the White House.

Obama's Bulls comment was just an aside, but he's assuredly rooting for a win.

Bulls stars Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose accompanied the President to his Navy Pier fundraiser last year, and in 2009 several Bulls shot hoops with Obama to entertain troops.

The President's fandom doesn't end there.

Last year, Obama honored the Chicago Bears nearly 26 years after their 1986 Super Bowl win.
