Marian Hossa Leaves Blackhawks Game With Injury

Marian Hossa, who was playing on the team's top line with Andrew Shaw and Jonathan Toews, suffered the injury on an awkward hit during the second period

The Chicago Blackhawks got Artemi Panarin back in their lineup on Saturday night, but their forward depth took a hit during their game against the Anaheim Ducks as Marian Hossa suffered a lower body injury in the contest.

Hossa, who was playing on the team's top line with Andrew Shaw and Jonathan Toews, suffered the injury on an awkward hit during the second period. Ducks defenseman Hampus Lindholm attempted a hip check against Hossa in the Blackhawks' offensive zone, and the forward went tumbling feet first into the boards.

Hossa was slow to get up, and he was helped off the ice by the Blackhawks' training staff.

Just before the third period got underway, the Blackhawks revealed that Hossa would not be returning to the game.
