The Chicago Bears look to stop their slide into NFL doldrums tonight with a win against the lowly San Francisco 49ers.
Chicago is favored by three points in this game, but it’s not clear why. Their offensive line still can’t block, their running back can’t run, and the only thing their defense can stop is Tommie Harris from playing.
Thankfully, the 49ers aren’t that great either.
The only interesting storyline is 49er coach (and former Bear) Mike Singletary, who'll be facing the team with which he won the 1985 Super Bowl.
Singletary's 49ers are 3-and-5, and they're mired in a four-game losing streak that dropped them two games out of first place in the NFC West.
