Hall of Famer Carlton Fisk Pleads Guilty To DUI

Fisk was sentenced to one year of court supervision, and he must pay $1,250 in court costs

Hall of Fame catcher Carlton Fisk has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor driving under the influence charge in the Chicago suburbs.

Fisk's attorney said in Will County court Thursday that Fisk wanted to accept responsibility for what he did. However, attorney Stephen White says he believed Fisk had a winnable case.

Fisk was sentenced to one year of court supervision, and he must pay $1,250 in court costs. The 64-year-old Fisk also must undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation, counseling and attend a victim impact panel.

New Lenox police found Fisk asleep in his pickup truck in a cornfield on Oct. 22. Police said there was an open bottle of vodka on the truck floor.

Fisk played 11 seasons with the Boston Red Sox and 13 with the Chicago White Sox.
