Lakers to Acquire Dwight Howard

Andrew Bynum will go to Philadelphia 76ers, ESPN reports

A multi-team trade is expected to land Dwight Howard in Los Angeles and send Andrew Bynum to Philadelphia, ESPN reported Thursday night.

The four-team deal was completed Thursday and will send Howard to the Lakers, Andrea Iguodala to the Denver Nuggets, Bynum and Jason Richardson to the 76ers.

The Magic will get Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic and one protected future first-round pick from each of the other three teams. Orlando will also get other pieces, including 76ers No. 1 draft pick Moe Harkless, a source told ESPN.

A trade call with the league office to secure the necessary NBA approval for the deal is scheduled for Friday, according to ESPN.

Lakers forward Pau Gasol -- who was rumored to be involved in the Howard swap -- has been in and out of trade talks, sources told ESPNLosAngeles.com's Ramona Shelburne.

It was not immediately clear how much money was involved in the pending deal.

In July, Howard -- who has been with the Magic since 2004, the duration of his NBA career -- told the team's general manager that if he was not traded, he would leave the team as a free agent after next season, according to ESPN.
