Jay Cutler didn't flick you off.

So says the suddenly back-to-form Bears QB, who was captured on camera making what seemed to be a suggestive gesture to the crowd just before halftime Monday.

Ostensibly, Cutler had a reason to flip the bird: the crowd, upset that Cutler wasn't running one more play with :20 to go in the half, was booing.

But Cutler says he was only motioning to the clock.

"I didn't understand why they were booing... not much we're going to do there,"  he said at his final Wednesday press conference and explained he'd take a chance with overtime instead.

Cutler was also suffering from lost feeling in his elbow, said Lovie Smith in a halftime interview during the game. Hence the walk-off.
