    Thousands of runners take over Chicago's streets for the 2012 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle. (Published Sunday, Mar 25, 2012)

    The 2012 Chicago running season got off to its official start Sunday morning, as thousands of runners took to the streets for the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K.

    A peek outside just about any downtown window revealed a stream of thousands of smiling runners enjoying the beautiful weather.

    The race starts and ends in Grant Park, mirroring a portion of the Chicago Marathon route.
